Match-day pub plan checklist

Confirm the fixture from its governing body, confirm the screening with the pub, and keep the two sources separate.

Two confirmations: an official fixture does not prove that a particular pub will show it, and a pub poster may become stale if the fixture changes.

Check the fixture source

Use the relevant governing body’s current fixture listing. For GAA planning, start with the official GAA fixtures and results page. Record the competition and teams as well as the published details so similarly named fixtures are not mixed up.

Ask the pub directly

Is the specific fixture being shown?
Do booking, entry, age-access, seating or accessibility arrangements apply?
Which current venue post or reply should the group rely on?

Do not infer a screening from a generic sports-pub description.

Plan the journey independently

Check current transport information for the actual journey. The Transport for Ireland journey planner is an official starting point; confirm any final service changes through the relevant operator.

Recheck and keep a fallback

Reopen both first-party sources before leaving. If either source is unclear, contact it. A fallback should be a group decision, not an assumption that another venue has availability.
