The free tier — what you get

  • Every recurring slot (trad, quiz, open mic, etc.) listed on the relevant county / type / tonight pages.
  • Every one-off event listed in the same surfaces, plus surfaced via the sesh-finder.
  • Cross-link from your pubhub.ie pub page — visitors see your upcoming events on the venue page.
  • Inclusion in the Thursday "What's the sesh this weekend?" newsletter.
  • Vibe tags applied editorially so the right crowd finds you.

Two ways to get listed

  1. Use the submit form — send us your recurring slots and one-off events. 48-hour editorial review, then live.
  2. Wait for the publican-claim flow on pubhub.ie. Once you've verified you run the pub, you can manage your sesh.ie events directly without going through the editorial queue.

Running a pub quiz?

Send the basics: quiz night, start time, usual team size, whether entry is free or ticketed, and the best public page for people to confirm the current details. We can route suitable quizzes into the quiz nights hub, the Dublin quiz guide where relevant, and the finder examples people use for searches like "pub quiz near me".

We do not mark a quiz as partnered, sponsored, guaranteed, live tonight or officially affiliated unless that relationship and review route is documented first.

The paid options (when you're ready)

  • Pinned event — proposed paid placement for a specific event at the top of the relevant county or city page for a short window, disclosed where used.
  • Publican subscription — proposed direct-management option for pubs that need recurring edits without the editorial queue, subject to owner approval and disclosure.
  • County newsletter sponsorship — your pub featured at the top of one Thursday newsletter for one county. Pricing scales with subscriber base.

Why sesh.ie and not Facebook

Three things Facebook doesn't do:

  1. Surfaces your event to people who aren't already following your pub. Facebook only reaches your existing followers.
  2. Lives on your pubhub.ie pub page so visitors researching the pub see your events as part of the venue listing.
  3. Treats recurring weekly sessions as one ongoing thing, not as 52 separate posts a year.
